If you’re cleaning your cottage, garage or basement this weekend and have beer cans, liquor or wine bottles to get rid of, please consider donating them to the Bracebridge Lions at our shed at the Rosewarne Transfer Station. We not only help the environment by recycling the bottles and cans, but the funds raised go right back to helping folks in our community.
On cool Saturday, October 3rd, four Lions from Bracebridge, along with Lions Camp Dorset manager Jeremy Schumacher, strapped and added a new metal roof to the cabin at the camp supported by Bracebridge.
Lions Camp Dorset, funded and operated by Lions, offers a vacation opportunity for kids needing dialysis and their families. The Camp allows patients and their families to enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and sports, from waterskiing to land-based activities like zip lining, horseback riding, archery, crafts and much more. In addition, the Camp facilitates dialysis treatment and essential medical services for visiting patients by an excellent medical and nursing staff.
The Lions Club provides an Out of the Cold Dinner every Wednesday evening from November to the end of April.
The dinner takes place at our hall at 325 Fraserburg Road, Bracebridge.
Doors open at 4:30pm and a wonderful 3 course meal is served at 5:30pm.
All are welcome.
